I should have guessed that sales and marketing would become my life's profession when I started my first business
in elementary school. Ironically, I was so successful selling candy between classes, that the school
eventually shut me down.
The teachers had understandably complained about having to peel the kids off the walls when their sugar rushes kicked in! <lol>
My late father broke the world's altitude record in 1960, so I think breaking barriers is in my DNA. For instance, I started writing copy for the local newspaper at 15, and then became the youngest Realtor in Seminole County when I was 18. It seems like that was back in the stone age, but it was an invaluable experience being entrusted with the largest purchase of their lives, by people that were much older than myself.
In college, I was ironically voted the first female "Brother of the Year" by the Theta Sigma chapter of Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity. Yes, that's fraternity, not sorority....as in 99.8% male membership. See, I learned early on how to maximize my opportunities! :-))
Later, I had the distinction of being chosen by Holler Chevrolet as their first female salesperson in their new car division. Make no mistake, it was one of the most physically and emotionally grueling experiences I ever endured, but learning to work with diverse personalities was priceless. [ Of course, the satisfaction of lasting longer than any of the several betting pools predicted I would was pretty great, too! ]
Over the years, I worked in a fascinating cross-section of industries. While I couldn't understand my life's path at the time, I can now see clearly that the scope of my professional experience has become an asset for my clients. It allows me to better understand and relate to their particular challenges, as well as offer insight that can only come from real-world experience.
Now, I'm passionate about helping my clients understand the unparalled potential that today's multimedia technologies offer.
Multimedia will always be more dynamic and effective than text-based mediums, such as direct mail, brochures, text emails, etc. If "A picture's worth a thousand words," then video must be worth a million, wouldn't you say? As I love to share, video enables people to "SEE your passion and HEAR your heart, making you unforgettable!"
In today's challenging economy, it's not only a matter of saving time and gas, it's critical to your business' survival to maximize your return on investment, so I encourage you to check out comF5 right now and then contact me! |
